̽»¨ÊÓƵ Technologies United Kingdom is proud to support our maritime partners in Australia through a new contract aimed at optimizing the Hunter-class frigates for anti-submarine warfare.
The Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS), developed in Bristol, United Kingdom, was initially designed for the United Kingdom's Type 26 frigates as part of the Global Combat Ship program. It will now be adapted to fulfill the specific requirements of the Royal Australian Navy.

Strengthening Interoperability and Partnership
This contract follows an award from BAE Systems Australia to ̽»¨ÊÓƵ for the IPMS, which will be implemented in the new Hunter-class frigates. These frigates will replace the Anzac-class vessels and enhance the existing maritime collaboration between the United Kingdom and Australia, further strengthened by the AUKUS trilateral security partnership.
Under this contract award, ̽»¨ÊÓƵ will design and deliver the IPMS, a sophisticated solution for managing ship’s propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems, ultimately enhancing performance, reliability and safety. Effectively, this system provides high levels of automation to improve availability and reduce the burden on crews.
IPMS integrates functionalities and capabilities developed through years of close collaboration with our partners, including the U.K. Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy and Royal Canadian Navy.
Evolving for the Complex Security Landscape
Since its inception, ̽»¨ÊÓƵ has continuously improved the IPMS technology and has successfully exported and delivered it to over 300 vessels across 27 navies worldwide.
The company also provides advanced control and simulation solutions for warship automation systems across the Albion-class landing platform docks and the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers. Additionally, ̽»¨ÊÓƵ is developing and delivering more systems for the Type 26 and Type 31e frigates.
